Job Responsibilities

Project Manager for Summer Activities

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing summer activities for children and youth in collaboration with associations, cultural and leisure actors, and other partners. After implementation, you will conduct an evaluation and prepare a final report for the project.

recruit and supervise summer employees
budget and resource planning
market and communicate the activities
supervise staff in operational work
follow-up and evaluation of the initiatives.

Strategic Work in Culture and Leisure

You will work on development issues within the department and contribute to creating long-term strategies for cultural and leisure activities in the municipality.

coordinate and support work with overarching goals and governing documents
analyze trends and needs within the culture and leisure sector
participate in and lead development projects within the department.

About the Workplace

The primary task of the Department of Children and Education is to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment where we prepare children and youth for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.

The Department of Culture and Leisure in Nynäshamn municipality offers a wide range of cultural and leisure activities for residents of all ages. The department consists of four units; library and art responsible for library services and artistic activities, cultural school offering instruction in music, dance, theater, and visual arts for children and youth, Youth Leisure responsible for the municipality's youth centers and activities, and Association and Facility responsible for the municipality's sports facilities.

The department has about 60 employees. As a project manager and strategist, you will report directly to the department head and are expected to contribute to both the strategic and operational development of the department, as well as strengthen collaboration between the operations.

What We Are Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you have:

higher education in behavioral sciences or social sciences, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
experience in project management
good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
good digital competence
driver's license (B).

It is advantageous if you have:

experience in strategic work
experience working within the culture and leisure sectors
experience leading and driving systematic change and development work

You work independently and take great responsibility for driving processes forward. Your good collaboration skills are demonstrated by your ability to navigate smoothly with different people and in various situations.

As a project manager, you have a good ability to adapt your communication style and collaborate with various stakeholders, such as politicians, authorities, entrepreneurs, and employees. Your approach is professional, and you maintain your composure even in pressured situations. You create engagement and participation, and your clear communication style ensures that messages are conveyed and expectations are clear for all parties involved.
